Genuine success story: the REWE Center in Hamburg-Altona has, since its conversion by the retail experts Schweitzer Project, Interstore and Oktalite, been continuously receiving awards for its role as a full-range retailer with an atmosphere. Now Managing Director Jürgen Huhn has been awarded the title of “House Manager of the Year”. The supermarket at Max-Brauer-Allee 59 has been a bright spot since it was opened. The concept of fresh weekly market charm over an area of 6750 square metres with an enormous variety of products repeatedly convinces customers and partners in the sector anew: in 2016 the REWE Center already received the “Cheese Star” for Germany’s best cheese counter. In spring 2017 the “Fruit Prize” was added for the best fruit and vegetable department. Now the “Lebensmittel Zeitung direct” (Food newspaper direct) has awarded the sector prize for outstanding retailer personalities to Managing Director Jürgen Huhn.
With the title “House Manager of the Year” the expert jury acknowledges the commitment of the trader who since the reopening of his branch has relied on experience and service all around 45000 products. That is made possible by an overall atmospheric concept: the shop fitting experts Schweitzer Project and Interstore created, with lots of wood, elements made of white-painted steel and bright tiles, a bright, harmonious look in black and white in an interplay with grey/brown natural shades. Oktalite‘s lighting expertise refined the food and non-food areas to produce special shopping places: the food lighting of the excellent service counters underscores the freshness and the luminaire equip, the luminaire equipment in silver and black emphasizes the REWE design with its distinguished “regional” touch.
